Week 2: BJJMath Ships and a System Starts Forming

Week 2 is done and BJJMath is live. Calculators for Brazilian jiu-jitsu, built from the actual rulebooks, weight classes, point systems, belt timelines, the stuff practitioners argue about in every gym. Niche? Extremely. Real? Completely. That is the exact combination I am hunting for.

The build

Here is the thing that has me buzzing: this build was noticeably faster than last week. Not because the project was smaller, but because I reused everything. The page templates from MyNubs. The deploy setup. The prompts I refined last week for generating structured content. Week 1 me was inventing the process while running it. Week 2 me just ran it.

That difference is the whole experiment, honestly. One build is a project. A repeatable loop is a machine. I can feel the machine assembling itself under me, prompt by prompt, template by template, and it is the most exciting part of this so far, more than any individual build.

The numbers

Revenue across everything: still $0. Traffic: a trickle, single digits, mostly me and possibly a confused bot. MyNubs is starting to get indexed, which is how these content plays work, slowly and then hopefully all at once. I knew going in that SEO builds are a patience game. I am planting seeds and refusing to dig them up every morning to check the roots.

What I learned

Pick niches where the data already exists. BJJMath works because the rulebooks are published, structured, and authoritative. I did not have to invent content, I had to translate it into tools people can use. That is a very different job than writing opinions, and AI is spectacular at it.

Also: naming the build on Monday and telling people it ships Friday is a cheat code. The deadline does the motivating so I do not have to. Two weeks in a row now. The streak is officially a thing I care about protecting.

Next week

I am going to try something different. Not another content site. Something with a price tag on it, because at some point this project has to be about revenue and not just shipping. Week 3 is where I start swinging at actual money. See you Friday.
