Week 19 Shipped: CrawlKind, Built Four Days After I Needed It

On Sunday a reader sent me an audit of this site. The raw HTML had one crawlable link to my builds per page. The homepage told any crawler that did not run JavaScript that it was still week one. Seventeen builds were effectively invisible to the search engines and AI crawlers I had spent weeks writing content for.

I fixed it Monday evening with a small pre-render script. By Tuesday I could not stop thinking about how many AI-built sites are in the same state, fine in a browser, half-empty to a crawler, and their owners have no idea. Week 19's build is the fix, packaged: CrawlKind, live today.

What's in the kit

It is a $49 one-time kit for Claude Code: a skill plus a single Python script that runs 23 checks, crawl blockers like stray noindex tags and robots.txt mistakes, sitemap and canonical problems, missing titles and descriptions, broken structured data, and whether a first-time visitor can tell what each page is for. The script finds the issues and shows its evidence. Claude Code turns the findings into fixes you review as diffs in your own project. Then a verify pass confirms each fix, and names the method it used to check, so you are not taking its word for it.

Some things it refuses to do, on purpose. It never deploys anything. It never invents business facts to fill an empty meta description. It scans your host only, caps at 50 pages, and the sample audit on the site is labeled as the fictional example it is. Before launch I had a second agent review the code; it found 12 bugs, which are in the changelog, and the final test was running the kit on its own website. The only finding was the delivery page I hid deliberately.

Launch-day state, honestly

Zero kits sold, because it went live this afternoon. The launch post for the newsletter is drafted but not published, and that is Monday's first job, along with the demo recording. The build page has the numbers as they come. Next week also brings October 15, when Medicare enrollment opens and Medicare Decoder gets the season it was built for. Nineteen builds down, thirty-three weeks to go.
